Dubai,TNM:: What began as a young boy’s emotional wish to visit Dubai has turned into a heartwarming reality, as Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum shared a touching video of two Kenyan boys exploring some of the emirate’s most iconic landmarks. The video featured Milan and his friend Christopher, both from Kenya, enjoying unforgettable moments across Dubai — from admiring the towering Burj Khalifa and watching the spectacular Dubai Fountain to discovering the vibrant beauty of Dubai Miracle Garden, the Butterfly Garden, and The Green Planet. The boys were also seen enjoying the snowy attractions of Ski Dubai.
Sheikh Hamdan, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai — widely known by his pen name Fazza — accompanied the video with a heartfelt message on social media.“I am delighted to see the joy of Little Dubai’s friends, Milan and Christopher from Kenya. I hope you enjoyed your visit to Dubai and discovering its destinations and distinctive landmarks, and that you carry with you the most beautiful memories from this trip,” he wrote.
The touching story first captured global attention on May 1 after Sheikh Hamdan reposted a video shared by Kenyan content creator Maria Nyambane. In the emotional clip, her young son Milan tearfully spoke about his dream of visiting Dubai, describing the city as a “planet.” Nyambane comforted her son in the video, promising she would work hard to one day make the trip possible. Moved by the video, Sheikh Hamdan responded with a personal invitation that quickly went viral. “It will make me very happy to see you in Dubai, hopefully very soon,” he wrote at the time. Weeks later, that promise has now been fulfilled. Nyambane, who has built a following on Instagram through parenting and family-focused content, previously described the invitation as “overwhelming,” adding that she felt “humbled and honoured” by the gesture. The story has resonated widely online, with many praising Sheikh Hamdan’s kindness and the power of social media in turning a child’s dream into reality.
