Dressed in a traditional silk skirt, jasmine flowers adorning her hair and a small flower basket in her hand, little Janma was celebrating Onam with her family near Al Thawar Park in Qusais when a Dubai Police patrol vehicle arrived at the parking area.
Initially a little frightened after seeing the police vehicle, Janma stood at a distance. However, the officer soon turned the moment into a beautiful memory. After greeting the family with a warm “Happy Onam,” the officer spoke to Janma’s mother, Linsy, who mentioned that the child was slightly scared of the police. The officer then stepped out of the vehicle carrying a juice packet and lovingly called Janma closer. After some hesitation, the little girl slowly approached him. The officer handed her the juice and, in a touching gesture, kissed her gently on the forehead.

Jomon, a native of Kollam, has been living in the UAE since 2019 and works in sales at a Dubai-based company. Linsy works as a nurse, while their elder daughter Johanna is a student.
